Just finished this & I think I need to think about it a bit before I write a review. Don't get me wrong, the writing is exceptional. But Ms. Slaughter is so adept at putting you in the characters' shoes, by the time I reached the end I felt like I'd run a marathon (and I almost needed a defibrillator at page 298).
If you're a fan of her Will Trent series, just go into this one knowing the 3 D's: different (from the series), dark (uber) & disturbing (very).
I also need time to figure out which emoticon to use...
On the upside, I am now officially half way through my 2015 reading challenge. Woo hoo!
My thanks to Penguin Random House/Century for providing a proof from one of my favourite authors.
