Well, crap.....don't know if I can find the will to go on.
I'm currently reading a police procedural/suspense story & right from the get-go there are moth-eaten stereotypes, a good cop/bad cop combo (good cop being female & immediately attracted to our hero, bad cop being TDTL), an MC whose pockets must be stuffed with horse shoes & rabbit feet (judging by the number of lucky coincidences that fall at his feet) & characters making questionable decisions that act as thinly veiled plot devices.
That's by the end of chapter 4.......sigh. Why oh why am I such a sucker for a bunch of 4-5 star reviews?
Ok, I feel better. Let's see if chapter 5 is where the magic begins....
